# Wes Baden

> I'm an American who lives in Bowdoinham, Maine. I studied Latin, Old English and Old Icelandic in college. In 1973 I was writing a doctoral thesis about the Beowulf poet but abandoned life in academia and went to law school. I finished my legal career as a county attorney in Utah. Retired, I visited Iceland and became interested in learning modern Icelandic.
